Coherent WaveBurstΒΆ

Coherent WaveBurst is a software package used to search for a broad range of gravitational wave transients without prior knowledge of the signal waveforms. The pipeline identifies coincident events in data from the the interferometer detectors and reconstructs the gravitational wave signal associated with these events using a likelihood analysis. Coherent WaveBurst was the first algorithm to identify the gravitational wave signal GW150914 detected by LIGO and currently is used in the ongoing analysis of LIGO and Virgo data.
