User WWW directories
Currently, Atlas’ main webserver www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
serves various directories from users’ home and work directories. The
next paragraphs will outline what is available from a web browser.
Please refer to file systems summary page for information of locally available file systems and how to access parts of these via a web browser.
https://www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/home/$USER/ and
https://www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/~$USER/ both point to the
local directory ~$USER/WWW and are served without any password
protection. Therefore, please be considerate what you place here.
Both https://www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/home/$USER/LVC/ and
https://www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/~$USER/LVC/ are protected by
LIGO’s web authentication scheme, i.e. files under these directories
are only visible to current members of that system and related,
federated systems. Please note that both LVC as well as LSC work
the same way here.
Some people want to be able to directly access files created by Condor
workflows on the compute nodes, therefore exchanging home with
work from the URL above or change ~$USER to ~work-$USER will point
to /work/$USER/WWW/ or /work/$USER/WWW/LVC,
e.g. https://www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/work/$USER/ or
https://www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/~work-$USER.
The dedicated page has more detailed information on the
/work file system.
Finally, for users of the Pegasus workflow management system, you can
access those summary pages under
https://www.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/pegasus/u/$USER but currently
only if you are recognized by LIGO’s authentication system.
